Climbing & Bouldering
Do you feel most alive when your fingers grip the rock and you pull yourself up with your own strength? Climbing challenges await you in Oberjoch and Bad Hindelang.
The high-alpine rock formations in the Hinterstein Valley attract experienced climbers who enjoy a sporty challenge. Passionate climbers – and those who want to become one – will find various levels of difficulty on the Edelrid via ferrata on the Iseler, the Hindelang via ferrata to the Großer Daumen, as well as the Ostrachtal via ferrata.
Bouldering is also very popular in the Allgäu. Two ambitious spots await you: the Kraftwand in Hinterstein and a 50-year-old rockslide area.
Mountainbiking
The mountains right in front of you, your mountain bike ready, and adrenaline pumping through your veins? The feeling of conquering a mountain by bike and sensing the wind rushing past you on the descent into the valley is simply incomparable.

The natural outdoor pool in Bad Hindelang is no longer a hidden gem. Surrounded by tall trees and a spacious sunbathing lawn, you can swim here without chlorine – and with the Bad Hindelang PLUS Card included in your room rate, admission is free.
The Prinze Gumpe in Hinterstein is a Kneipp therapy garden featuring one of the most beautiful mountain bathing spots in the Allgäu – a true delight on warm summer days.
Other worthwhile excursion destinations include Lake Vilsalp and the lido at Lake Haldensee, both located in the neighboring Tyrolean Tannheim Valley.

Alpine Holiday with Children
As a family, there’s always something to do – except on holiday. That’s when everyone has time, best filled with beautiful and exciting experiences in nature.
Many activities are specially tailored to holidays with children. There are plenty of easy hiking trails, child-friendly climbing parks, and scenic routes for tours by bicycle, mountain bike, or e-bike.
The Bad Hindelang PLUS Card helps keep family holiday costs transparent and manageable.
Bikepark
At Bikepark Hindelang, BergBuddies can look forward to no less than nine kilometers of freeride and downhill tracks. Pure adrenaline for advanced riders and pros! Two main downhill runs start from the mountain station of the Hornbahn Hindelang. Bikes can be conveniently transported in the spacious gondolas up to 1,320 meters above sea level. Just a few meters from the mountain station, the two trails Yellow Banana and Black Rock begin. They differ in difficulty level and installed features. Advanced bikers are best advised to start with the yellow trail and gradually build up. Plenty of obstacles, tables, and berms provide excitement along the way. In the lower third, riders can choose between two variants – Green Frog, an easier course to improve technique, and Red Chilly as a medium-difficulty option. The black trail, featuring numerous turns, northshore elements, and jumps, is recommended only for experienced riders.
